Today's race throwback looks at one of the best battles on the Knavesmire for some years, with two of the best middle distance horses around last year fighting right to the line for the glory of the Group One Juddmonte International.
Japan and Crystal Ocean went head to head in a battle for the ages with both of them landing group race success at Royal Ascot, Japan in the King Edwards VII Stakes and Crystal Ocean in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes.
On form they were both on a similar path for the event and it was hard to split them apart, and that was the same on the track with just a furlong to go and nothing to tell them apart.
With the final few strides the Aidan O'Brien trained colt managed to find that little extra to nab the Sir Michael Stoute trained horse on the line to land Group One glory.
What a race!
