Today's throwback race of the day takes us over to Naas as on Wednesday the rescheduled Grade One Lawlor Of Naas Novice Hurdle takes place and we have taken a look back at the winner of the 2020 renewal.
Superstar Envoi Allen took this event last year and really cemented himself as the favourite for the Ballymore Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham festival and the runners on Wednesday will be looking to do the same.
Gordon Elliott's stable star was stepped up in trip to 2m4f for the first time in his career in this race, having been running over two miles to a good standard.
Bought to be a Gold Cup winner, Envoi Allen was always going to stay a trip but since this race in 2020 has not looked back landing his second race at the Cheltenham festival and also going on to land a Grade One event over fences.
