Today we are going a bit left field and looking back at the most recent Cheltenham festival with one of the performances across the four days coming from the Willie Mullins trained Allaho.
The Grade One Ryanair was labelled one of the toughest betting races for punters across the 2021 Cheltenham festival, when in reality Allaho made it one of the easiest for his backers.
Having ran at the festival twice before over three miles in the Albert Bartlett and RSA Novices' Chase, finishing third on both occasions, the drop to 2m4f seemed to bring the best out of him.
The seven year old under a superb front running ride by Rachael Blackmore pulled away from the field to land the race with Fakir D'oudairies rallying for second.
The form of the race has some big substance with the Joseph O'Brien trained horse since came out and won the Grade One Melling Chase at Aintree by a wide margin.
Enjoy!
