The Moscow Flyer Novices' Hurdle at Punchestown on Sunday is one of the feature races across the week and in anticipation for the contest, we have gone back through the archives and looked at the 2016 renewal of the race.
There have been some superb winners of this race that have gone on to do great things in their careers and in 2016 Min went on to take the race and certainly fits that profile.
The Rich Ricci owned gelding has proved at Grade One level just how good he can be over both hurdles and fences in his career, with his highlight being, landing the John Durkan Memorial Chase at Punchestown three years in a row.
Also in his career he has gone on to be a Cheltenham festival winner in the Ryanair Chase last season and will be heading for that race again this term.
Other winners of this race that are well known include, Getabird, Vatour and Douvan for the same owners and it looks to be a race that some of the best in the sport use as a stepping stone in their careers.
On Sunday a great field heads to post again and it is a race worth keeping an eye on for future stars.
