Today we have looked back at the wonder filly Enable and the race that truly put her on the map, when she landed her first Group 1 in the Investec Epsom Oaks.
In June 2017, Enable headed to Epsom in search of the first black type win of her career having won her first three contests at Newcastle, Newbury and Chester in fine style.
Enable back then was not the horse that she is now, still being an unknown entity in top flight races but when she saw off previous Group 1 winner Rhododendron in the contest, her career flourished.
In one of the wettest renewals of the Oaks, Enable managed to track the Aidan O'Brien filly all the way and then when it was time FrankIe Dettori pushed the button and saw her go clear.
