One of the great winners of the Clarence House Chase was the Nicky Henderson trained Sprinter Sacre and in 2013 he went on to jump his rivals into submission and we have looked back at the great performance today.
The gelding was known throughout his career as one of the best two mile chasers the sport has ever seen, landing races like the Clarence House Chase, Tingle Creek Chase and Champion Chase.
In 2013 he landed this Grade One at Cheltenham with the meeting at Ascot abandoned due to frost, but that might have played to his strengths with him loving to race around Prestbury Park.
Throughout his career, Sprinter Sacre went on to win 16 of his 24 events, with him having an unbeaten record of 10 chase starts in his prime.
