Today's throwback race of the day will be in a theme like fashion with the Irish Derby set to take place at the weekend and in the run up to the big race this year we will be looking back at some of the best recent renewals.
Joseph O'Brien has established himself as one of the best dual purpose trainers in the sport and even being one of the youngest handlers in racing has made big strides very quickly.
On the flat he has already managed some big race success In England, Ireland and Internationally at the Breeders Cup meeting and the Melbourne Cup.
However, one of his first huge race success in Ireland came in the Irish Derby back in 2008 with Latrobe and his younger brother Donnacha taking the mount.
The race should be remembered well with it being a very close finish between Joseph and his father Aidan's horse Rostropovich.
