Todays throwback race looks at the superb 2019 renewal of the Grade One Mildmay Novices Chase at the Grand National meeting with Lostintranslation giving one of his best performances to date.
Colin Tizzard's star chaser this season has had a really tough time of things with wind operations and never been able to meet the standards he had set himself from the past few seasons.
However, his win in this event at Aintree is what started to see him turn the tables with some of the top horses and it was the first time seeing him step up to three miles.
Having been beaten by Defi Du Seuil in the JLT Novices' Chase at the Cheltenham festival, Tizzard sent him to Aintree over an extended trip and he flourished.
He managed to see off the RSA Chase winner Topofthegame for Paul Nicholls with ease and built from that the season after when taking the Grade One Betfair Chase at Haydock.
