Today we are looking back at the 2020 renewal of the Falmouth Stakes ahead of the Group One event today and it saw a popular winner in Nazeef for John Gosden.
The Shadwell owned filly was a superstar for the yard over the years, especially last term when landing two Group One events, both over a mile at Newmarket.
Having always been a nice horse she really made people take notice when landing six races in a row, with her final win of the that sequence coming in the Falmouth Stakes.
In soft conditions she managed to see off the likes of Billesdon Brook, Terebellum and serial winner One Master to take her first Group One event.
After that she was seen finishing third in the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood and then going over to France in the 1m2f Prix Jean Romanet, where the extra distance didn't suit.
However, in October she returned to England and got back to winning ways in the Group One Sun Chariot Stakes, to land another Group One event.
Enjoy!
