When Enable Lit Up The Breeders Cup - The Winners Enclosure

This week is all about the Breeders Cup meeting at Del Mar and today we are looking back at Enable's win in the 2018 renewal of the Grade One Breeders Cup Turf.

The Queen of the flat for the last few years, Enable was a superb winner of the Breeders Cup Turf back in 2018 seeing off Irish raider Magical in a superb renewal of the contest.

At Churchill Downs at the start of November, Enable became the first horse to win the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and then go on to land this black type event in the same season.

She had suffered a setback which had only seen her run twice that season, but it might have been a blessing in disguise with it being her third run and she looked to be in peak form.

Enable will go down as one of the greatest flat horses to ever grace the turf and winning the Breeders Cup Turd and the Arc in the same season is a big reason she goes into that bracket.
