One of the feature races of the week is the Group Three Brigadier Gerard Stakes and we are taking a look back at the 2020 renewal where Lord North for John Gosden took the event.
A multiple Group One winner during his career landing races like the Dubai Turf on two occasions and the Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Before he went on to take these races he was no more than a handicap horse landing the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket and was then a close second in the Balmoral Handicap on Champions Day.
At the start of the 2020 season, it is where Lord North started to become the horse he is today, landing his first Group race in the Brigadier Gerard Stakes, seeing off some talented horses at Haydock.
Enjoy!
