We are starting the week by looking back at last year's winner of the Coral Eclipse with the superstar Ghaiyyath for Charlie Appleby, William Buick and Godolphin landing the spoils.
The son of Dubawi last season finally all pieces of the puzzle together to become one of the most feared horses in the middle distance division.
Having showed glimmers of brilliance in past seasons when landing races like the German Derby and Prix d'harcourt on his travels, last term he truly turned into a different animal.
He started his season off in Meydan when landing the Group Three Millennium Stakes by close to nine lengths, showing that there was something different about him.
From there he landed the second Group One of his career in the Coronation Cup at Newmarket and off the back of that headed to Sandown a month later for the Eclipse.
Taking on the likes of Enable , Japan and Magic Wand just to name a few, he went from the front in his usual style and was not for catching.
With three Group One events now under his belt he was looking for his fourth and it came next time out at York in the Juddmonte International.
He was narrowly beaten by Magical on the final start of his career in the Irish Champion Stakes, but overall last term he was the arguably the best horse on the planet in this division.
Enjoy his win in the Eclipse!
