Today we are looking back at Frodon's Grade One winning performance last season in the Ladbrokes Champion Chase at Down Royal, where this weekend he will again go for glory at the Northern Irish track.
A horse for the ages for Paul Nicholls, now 10 years of age having won multiple Grade One events including the King George VI Chase and this event last year, we thought we would take a look back at his latest win.
Known for being a gritty horse, always running his race from the front under Bryony Frost, he did this at Down Royal last year, when getting headed late on by Galvin, but battling back to win the race.
Nicholls always gets him as fit as possible for his first race of the season and some of the horses he saw off last term made it at an excellent training performance.
