Today we are looking back at the 2017 renewal of the Epsom Derby, where Aidan O'Brien took the spoils with one of the outsiders of the field Wings of Eagles.
The master Ballydoyle trainer in 2017 took six horses into the event and at odds of 40/1 the colt landed the event, seeing off stablemate Cliffs Of Moher and John Gosden's Cracksman.
It was a surprise win for the horse who had shown little form prior to this race, having once once as a juvenile at Killarney, but struggled apart from that.
In the Derby, under a great ride by Padraig Beggy who landed his first win in the race, the horse came from off the pace late to collar the leaders over the top.
The son of Pour Moi after the race looked to land the Derby double, but could only finish third in the Irish version behind stablemate Capri and Cracksman.
Enjoy the winning ride in the 2017 renewal!
