Today we are looking back at the 2020 renewal of the Group One Prince Of Wales's Stakes with John Gosden taking the event for the fourth time with Lord North.
Lord North has been a special horse for the yard over the last few seasons, coming onto the scene as a handicapper, but then last season turned into a frequent Group One winning horses.
Having won the Group Three Brigadier Gerard Stakes at Haydock he went to Royal Ascot for this race and went on to beat the likes of Addeybb, Barney Roy and Japan, who are all frequent black type winners.
After this event he slightly lost his way, but last time out he bounced back to form to land another superb Group One event at Meydan in the Dubai Turf.
Lord North this season will be looking to defend his title in what could be one of the races of the festival and today we are looking back at arguably the best performance of his career.
Enjoy!
