Today we are looking back at the 2018 renewal of the Grade Two Old Roan Chase at Aintree, with the King George winner Frodon being a very impressive winner.
The Paul Nicholls trained gelding has had an exceptional career over fences and his ultra impressive season in 2018 was kicked off by an emphatic win in this race.
Off the back of that success at the Grand National course, he went on to land a hat-trick at Cheltenham , with his final win of that season seeing him take home the Grade One Ryanair Chase at the festival.
Since then he has gone on to land some impressive events at Cheltenham, Kempton and Sandown, with the best of the bunch being his win last term in the Grade One King George VI Chase.
Although winning races before the Old Roan, it was the race that put him on the map that season and today we are looking back at it.
