Today we are taking a look back at last years renewal of the Thyestes Handicap Chase at Gowran Park, with this year's renewal going ahead on Thursday.
Gordon Elliott has been a master trainer in this race over the last four years, landing two renewals at a 50% strike rate and last term he took the event with Coko Beach.
The likeable grey had been primed for a big run in this event, running off a mark of 128, getting weight off most of the field he went on to see of stablemate Run Wild Fred in the 18 runner event.
He won another event straight after that at Navan over three miles but has since struggled having gone up in the weights but is back this year off 9lb higher looking to land back to back renewals of the race.
