The Punchestown Champion Hurdle is one of the big races across the five day festival and in 2019 it saw a British raider win it for the first time in a long time.
The dual Cheltenham Champion Hurdle winner Buveur D'Air, having not been able to land the hat-trick of wins in the Prestbury Park feature, headed to Punchestown at the end of the season and dominated the Irish.
The Nicky Henderson trained gelding has had an elusive career landing numerous Grade One events, but now at the age of 10 does not seem to be the force of old.
His last win came in the Punchestown Champion Hurdle when seeing off the likes of Wicklow Brave, Apple's Jade and Supasundae, who like Buveur D'Air were not the forces they once were.
The 10 year old has been known over the years for being a very special talent and his CV supports that and this win could be one of his last Grade One wins in his career.
