One of the most comical but breathtaking races came at the back end of 2019 with the €200,000 Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown throwing up the best race of the season.
The race caller Jerry Hannon reached an octave that no one thought was physically possible but it was all for a good reason with close to four horses jumping the last in with a chance of winning.
However, it was neither of those horses that went on to land the contest with a now very famous Gordon Elliott trained gelding jumping the last way behind the pack but rallying unbelievably close home.
It truly was one of the spectacles of the 2019/20 jumps season and deserves to be relived at every opportunity.
