We have looked back at one of the great sprinters of the last few years in Caravaggio and more importantly his performance in his first Group One back after injury.
The now six year old made his name the season before the race we are looking back on when going to Royal Ascot off the back of two runs at Dundalk and the Curragh and winning the Group Two Coventry Stakes.
After some time off the track he finally reappeared in May 2017 winning nicely at Naas which set him up for the Commonwealth Cup at his beloved Ascot.
With some star sprinters heading to post including Harry Angel and Blue Point it was feared that this may be to soon for the son of Scat Daddy.
However, after a superb training performance by Aidan O'Brien he managed to come from near the back to fly home and land the Group One.
