The Epsom Derby takes place this weekend and last years contests was one of the tightest renewals seen in the Group On for a while and it is definitely worth taking a look back at it.
Aidan O'Brien sent seven to Epsom last season in a hope to land another Classic race and it worked with Anthony Van Dyck weaving through late on to get up on the line.
What made the race extra special is that there were five horses in a photo finish on the line with Madhmoon and Japan just touched off in the final stages and Broome and Sir Dragonet not far away either.
The win gave Seamie Heffernan his first win in the race and now being O'Brien's number one rider he may add to that tally in the future.
