Todays throwback race of the day is looking back at the last winner of the next British Group One that is set to be ran and it saw Mustashry take the Lockinge Stakes at Newbury.
The Group One event was not ran last year due to the Pandemic, but in 2019 Jim Crowley steered the Hamdan Al Maktoum owned gelding to victory.
The son of Tamayuz was a frequent winner as a youngster for Sir Michael Stoute, but the Lockinge was easily the biggest scalp of his career.
He landed the event at the age of six and since that run never really went on to do anything else, but will always be remembered for landed this event, that over the years has been won by some of the best milers in the sport.
