Today we are looking back at last year's renewal of the Irish Oaks having all week gone through some of the best resumptions of the Classic race and we take a look back at Snowfall's dominance.
A superstar three year old Snowfall transformed last season into a horse of a lifetime landing numerous Group One events including the Oaks treble.
Winning the Musidora Stakes on seasonal debut she showed how different a horse she was and off the back of that went to Epsom where she took the Oaks.
Looking to land a hat-trick of Group wins and back to back Oaks successes at the Curragh, she went on to be an 8 1/2 length winner from stablemate Divinely.
After that she went back to York and took three Group Ones on the trot in the Yorkshire Oaks and that was the last win of her career.
She fell off the wagon slightly after that finishing second in the Prix Vermeille, sixth in the Arc and then third in the British Champion Fillies & Mares Stakes.
Unfortunately she lost her life as a four year old and we will not be able to see any progeny.
Enjoy!
