Today's Throwback race of the day looks back at last year's renewal of the Ayr Gold Cup with the Scottish tracks feature flat meeting of the season set to take place this weekend.
The five year old for William Haggas, Naharr was a superb winner of this race last year under Tom Marquand with the superb sprinter being well backed into 7/2 favourite for the event.
What made the geldings victory special was the way he weaved through the 24 runner field to get to the front late on, looking like he was not getting there being dead last, but in the end took the race by half a length under one of the rides of the year by Marquand.
Naharr at the start of his career landed four straight victories and looked set for greatness and overall winning the Ayr Gold Cup has been his biggest success to date.
