Today we are looking back on the 2020 renewal of the Group One Middle Park Stakes with the six furlong event being one of the highlights of this weekends racing.
Last year's winner of the event was the Clive Cox trained Supremacy, who was a superb juvenile being a son of Mehmas, winning three of his four events, including the Group One Middle Park Stakes.
The sprinter, bounced on the scene at Windsor in June 2020, needing the run but then everything seemed to click at the second time of asking when getting off the mark.
He was then sent to Glorious Goodwood to compete in the prestigious Group Two Richmond Stakes which he went on to land by four lengths going away.
This set him up perfectly for a crack at the Group One event and with him still improving he took the event from the likes of Lucky Vega and Minzaal.
Unfortunately, like his sire he has not trained on as a three year old running below par in all three of his races to date, but he will always be remembered for his win in this contest.
Enjoy!
