Today we are throwing it back to the 2021 Grand National, a race where the whole family gets involved in and this year it saw a very popular winner with Minella Times landing the spoils for Henry De Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore.
The female rider last season wrote herself into jumps racing folklore by becoming the first female jockey to win the most races across the Cheltenham festival and then topped things off a month later by landing the greatest jumps race of them all.
In the silks of JP McManus the eight year old had been lined up all season for a crack at the Aintree feature, running in big fielded, staying handicap chases all the way through the season.
When it came to the big race the gelding was given a superb trip round by Blackmore, staying out of trouble and then with two to jump came to the front and saw off challenges from stablemate Balko Des Flos, Any Second Now and Burrows Saint to take the race by 6 1/2 lengths.
It is a moment that will go down in sporting history forever and today we are looking to relive it.
Enjoy!
