Trainer Mark Johnston on Thursday is looking to have a winner on the all weather at Chelmsford sending just one runner to the Essex based track on the day, which sees the handler make a 462 mile round trip.

When we see trainers coming such a long way to just run the one horse we like to highlight it, as we believe they would not be coming all that way if it did not have a real chance.

Mark Johnston is a world renowned flat trainer, being British racings most winning handler in the sport and although he frequently sends his horses to all different tracks through the season, he only sends one tonight a long way.

The four year old Dutch Decoy looks to have a huge chance in the event, having only ran on a Polytrack surface once before in his career and it saw him win nicely.

He is 2lb lower today than when he ran at Kempton in July and although needing to run better then he has recently, he looks a typical gritty Johnston horse and is a live contender.

When coming this far with his horses the Scottish handler runs at a 15% strike rate and having ran 8621 horses when travelling this far, it is a remarkable achievement.
