Trainer Fergal O'Brien on Friday is looking to have a winner on the all weather at Newcastle sending just one runner to the northern track which sees the handler make a 514 mile round trip.
When we see trainers coming such a long way to just run the one horse we like to highlight it, as we believe they would not becoming all that way if it did not have a real chance.
Fergal O'Brien is a handler who has had a superb season to date and with this bumper card at Newcastle he has pinpointed one race for his runner Becky The Boo.
The five year old mare is the right favourite for the race having only been seen once in bumpers to date and finishing a bold fourth in what looked a strong race.
The form of that event at Newbury has worked out really well with the second and third since coming out and winning decent events.
Becky The Boo was taking on the boys on debut and today switches to her own sex and with Fergal O'Brien having a strike rate of 27% when travelling this far with his horses, the mare has a fair bit going for her on the day.
