Trainer Peter Bowen on Monday is looking to have a winner at Market Rasen today over the jumps, sending just one runner to the Lincolnshire based track on the day, which sees the handler make a 518 mile round trip.
When we see trainers coming such a long way to just run the one horse we like to highlight it, as we believe they would not be coming all that way if it did not have a real chance.
The handler loves bringing his horses this far currently running at a strike rate of 20% for his career having had 186 winners from his 952 runners coming this far.
The eight year old made his chase debut in March and finished a distant third of eight behind two smart horses that have since franked the form.
He should be much better for that experience and this event looks much easier.
