Trainer Jedd O'Keefe on Monday is looking to have a winner at Wincanton today over the jumps, sending just one runner to the Somerset based track on the day, which sees the handler make a 534 mile round trip.
When we see trainers coming such a long way to just run the one horse we like to highlight it, as we believe they would not be coming all that way if it did not have a real chance.
The handler loves bringing his horses this far currently running at a strike rate of 14% for the season having had two winners from his 14 runners coming this far.
This mare has some smart form on the flat, but since she has been going over hurdles this term, she has not quite backed that up.
She is yet to hit the frame on all five of her national hunt starts, but heading into todays event getting heaps of weight off the field could be the difference.
