Trainer Michael Scudamore on Friday is looking to have a winner at Musselburgh today over the jumps, sending just one runner to the Scottish based track on the day, which sees the handler make a 666 mile round trip.
When we see trainers coming such a long way to just run the one horse we like to highlight it, as we believe they would not be coming all that way if it did not have a real chance.
Scudamore love bringing his horses this far currently running at a strike rate of 23% for the season having had six winners from his 26 runners coming this far.
Caldwell has only been seen three times during his career over hurdles, finishing second twice and fourth behind the likes of Cabot Cliffs and Sage Advice.
Having been running in Juvenile Hurdle's this season, he steps up for his handicap debut which gives him a 8lb pull with Magna Moralia, who beat him by 5 lengths last time out.
Weighted to go well.
