The fighting Fifth on Saturday at Newcastle sees the first Grade One over hurdles for the season in Britain and in honour of the race we have looked back at one of the best renewals in recent years.
Last season dual Champion Hurdle winner Buveur D'Air was going for his third consecutive win in the Fighting Fifth on his way to Cheltenham in March.
However, he was dethroned by the outsider Cornerstone Lad for Micky Hammond, with the pair battling it out in the final stages and Hammond's horse getting the verdict in the Photo-Finish.
The race saw everything you wanted from a Grade One, but unfortunately it was revealed that Buveur D'Air got an injury during the race and that was why he could only finish second on the day.
He has not been seen since this race but hopefully will be back this season and for Cornerstone Lad he is trying to land another big scalp in the race on Saturday.
