Today we are taking a look back at last year's winner of the Group One Falmouth Stakes, with the Group One event on Friday set to be a cracker.
The Richard Hannon trained Snow Lantern showed glimpses during her three year old career that she could have turned into an extra special animal, with her crowning moment coming in this race when fending off the likes of Mother Earth, Alcohol Free and Lady Bowthorpe to take the event.
A fine second on her juvenile debut behind Zabeel Queen, she was saved for her three year old campaign and managed to get off the mark at Newbury, seeing off Derab.
Stepped up to Listed company at York she was third behind Primo Bacio and Creative Flair and when looking to get back to winning ways in the Group One Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot she bumped into Alcohol Free.
Reversing the form in the Falmouth she landed the first black type race of her career, but seen three more times after that she couldn't kick on and ultimately rounded off her career when finishing last of 12 in the Group One Sun Chariot Stakes.
Enjoy!
