Here we are, Week Eight of our ride of the week award, and this might be one of the hardest to call yet.
So much action to digest over the last seven days, and it took time to select our winner.
In the end, the whole team were in agreement that it was hard to oppose Hollie Doyle's remarkable effort on Dame Malliot in the Aphrodite Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday.
Ed Vaughan's three-year-old was making just her third career start in the colours of Anthony Oppenheimer, and incredibly her first on the turf.
Winning on debut at Wolverhampton last December, she finished second to Whimbrel on seasonal return just a month ago at Chelmsford in a Novice event.
Upped to Listed company and to a mile-and-a-half - clearly what she is bred for, she overcame a slow start from the gates to fire home, five lengths to the good over the much greater experienced duo Spirit Of Appin and Sparkle Roll.
Hollie Doyle continues her excellent winning form of late, adding a seventh winner in the last fourteen days, operating at an 18% strike rate.
She cut her mouth through the field to strike and stay on very strongly in the closing stages and if anything was going further and further clear.
Looks a very exciting recruit for the yard, and has plenty of potential now going forward.
You can hardly say she was fancied for the job having been sent off at odds of 11/2, with John Gosden's filly Sparkle Roll priced as the 7/4 favourite before the off.
Kesia was the big disappointment from the Gosden yard, failing to follow up the promise she displayed in her Ascot maiden back in maiden.
However, all the plaudits were for Dame Malliot and Hollie Doyle, who together win our award for ride of the week - for week eight.
