We are back again for another segment of searching through hours of winning rides from last weeks racing to give you our choice for the TWE ride of the week.
Now in its seventh week since we started this blog you will have witnessed many different winning rides from horses making all from the front to horses flying late from a mile off the pace to get up and secure the victory.
With so much fantastic racing that took place last week, especially from Newmarket with a fantastic three days during the July Cup meeting you would expect our winning ride to feature from there.
France on Sunday also offered a superb card of racing from its capitals racecourse Longchamp with the Group 1 Grand Prix De Paris throwing up another Aidan O'Brien winner, but again we have overlooked it.
Our winner this week gets the nod ahead of everyone else for two reasons. Both of them are paying tribute to the jockey on board as he is one of many few riders that would have seen this horse out to the line in such style.
Three time Champion jockey Silvestre de Sousa is known for the way he manages to get the front but also when he does to not let his lead slip and most of the time gets his horse home first.
This ride is a prime example of that when on Wednesday at Lingfield on board the 5/2 joint favourite in the first race of the day he got his horse to never give up and saw out the race in emphatic style, whilst coming under pressure from many other runners.
Another reason why this win was so special was because it bought up the Brazilian riders 50th winner of the season which is remarkable.
SDS has been consistently at the top of the game for many years now and is showing even with his contract to King Power racing and not being able to ride as many horses as he once was, he is still outstanding.
Week sevens TWE Ride Of The Week goes to Silvestre de Sousa and the Mick Channon trained Dear Miriam.
