Monday saw The Winners Enclosure sponsor the seven race card at Wolverhampton and we are looking back on what a successful and fascinating night of racing it was at the all weather track.
The racing kicked off at 5:50pm with all seven races being named by TWE with four of them advertising and promoting the brand and trying to share awareness and the other three being quirky and engaging with our social media audience.
These names really did cause a stir across different social channels and also media outlets with national newspapers picking up on what we were trying to achieve on the night.
The first funny race name of the night was This Is Gonna Get Tasty Baby Claiming Stakes named after the Wrexham bootlegger has become somewhat of a legend across social media over the past year and we wanted to get him involved in racing.
Coach driver David Chillery every year marks the anniversary of splitting from his second wife by paying for a horse race to be called “David Chillery Happy Days Celebrating His Divorce” at Newton Abbot.
We flipped this on Monday night and did it from his ex wife's perspective to see how David will feel about this naming the fifth race of the night the Celebrating 22 Years Without David Chillery EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes..
This gathered wide spread media coverage from Newspapers like The Sun, Metro, Racing Post and other companies and social media accounts including Sky Bet and At The Races.
The final race we named that was intended to add a bit of fun to the card was An Absolutely Stupendous Piece Of Confectionary Novice Median Auction Stakes and it was all about Chris Eubank with the boxer going viral with some of the things he says and all we could of asked for was him being there to read out the race name.
It was a great pleasure of ours to sponsor Wolverhampton racecourse, we hope all in attendance had a successful and winning night and enjoyed our coverage from the track as well as our funny race names.
At The Winners Enclosure you can find free horse racing tips for all meetings across any day from Monday to Sunday every week.
