Who to follow at Chantilly on Wednesday

Horse To Follow - Simeen

In the second race of the day at Chantilly Jean-Claude Rouget fields his unbeaten three year old filly Simeen who looks to be the pick of the inexperienced field.

The Lope De Vega filly started her career back in June of last year in a seven furlong event at Saint-Cloud where she could not have been an easier winner.

She then headed to Clairefontaine in a tougher event and had to be shaken up slightly to win but still dominated well in the closing stages.

She looks to be a Group horse in the making for this top french yard and if the ground does stay soft it will suit her down to the ground.

Trainer To Follow - Jean-Claude Rouget

Although not gaining a winner on the first day back, one of the master French trainers is due a big day and we think it will come at Chantilly.

This track has been a good home for Rouget especially in the last 12 months where he has had four winner and seven places from 25 runners, running at a strike rate of 16%.

In the last year the handler has gained prize money in the region of €995,400 and he will be looking to add to that with his four chances on Wednesday.

Jockey To Follow - Christophe Soumillon

Christophe Soumillon is one of the most well known French jockeys in the game, having landed Dubai World Cups and also plenty of other major races around the world during his career.

With French racing getting back underway on Monday he took no time in getting back into the swing of things landing a big priced double at ParisLongchamp and running at a strike rate of 22.22%.

He picks up some really nice rides on Wednesday at Chantilly with one of his best chances being our horse to follow Simeen, with him sitting on the filly twice and gaining a 100% win record that they will look to extend together.
