The Class 3 Handicap over seven furlongs sees some very progressive horses take to post and Riot looks to be one massively on the upgrade.
The John & Thady Gosden trained gelding got off the mark at the fourth time of asking at Kempton in September 2019 over seven furlongs and then was off the track for 13 months.
He returned in October last year and massively needed the run after that long lay off, but at the start of April went to Chelmsford and was a much better third.
He got back on turf for the first time in over two years at Newmarket on his second start of the season and just ran no sort of race, being pushed along a fair way out.
However, he bounced straight back to from at the end of last month at Newcastle when a good second behind Zip, who went on to frank the form next time out.
Needs to start acting on turf but only 3lb higher than that second he looks a player.
