Newmarket Racecourse is the home and headquarters of English flat horse racing. Spanning across two counties, it compromises two individual racecourses - the Rowley Mile and the July Course.
It is also the home to the largest cluster of training yards in the country and many key horse racing organisations, such as Tattersalls, the National Horseracing Museum and the National Stud.
Many famous names in the sport may have begun their careers at Newmarket and possibly went onto win a classic or two. How much do you know about Newmarket’s most prestigious races and some of the horses that have progressed onto bigger and better things?
