Last weekend showed off some of the greatest racing of the year with multiple Group ones and twos from around the world giving us spectacles of fascinating battles and some outstanding performances.
Throughout the weekend there was a total of 13 Group races with the majority of them being Group 1 spectacles. These races saw battles that have been going on all season with certain horses still not being bale to get the upper hand on each other.
With these outstanding displays on offer there was also sad news to come out of the racing world with two special Group 1 winning horses retiring due to injury after there runs at Leopardstown in different races, but these horses are very well known in the racing world.
Ireland played a huge part this weekend to the overall advertisement of the racing with two huge meetings spread across the two days at Leapordstwon and the Curragh in which offered the best racing of the weekend, but can you remember what happened there?
Doncaster held the fought down for the English contingent offering there there greatest race card of the season with the pinnacle being the St Leger in which Aidan O'Brien made it back to back Group 1s in this race.
