The only Listed event on the card sees eight go to post in the Des Lilas Stakes and we’ve taken a real liking to the Kendargent filly ALULA BOREALIS.

A half sister to Listed winner Arapaho, she was sent off at 7/1 on debut over a mile at Fontainebleu in March over a mile and managed to get off the mark at the first time of asking for top connections.

She returned at Parislongchamp in April but could only manage a half a length second under an uncharacteristically bad ride from Boudot letting the eventual winner get too much of an easy time out in front and conceding first run.

Both horse and jockey will have learned a lot from that race and they come up against that rival (Tahlie) once again in this race and she looks the type that is more than capable to reverse the form, especially considering how unexposed she is with just the two career runs to date compared to the six of Tahlie.

The Group 3 Prix De Guiche looks set to be one of the most competitive renewals of the race in recent years with a small field of six set to run in the race.

With 13 wins from 26 runs from the field of six, it looks set to be a cracker and we’ve picked out two in the race to finish as a reverse forecast.

The first horse in the Intello colt ADHAMO.

A difficult start to life with a second then a third over 6f then 7f respectively, he’s not looked back since stepping up in trip with two wins over 1m 2f and his two most wins coming over this race distance of 1m 1f with a combined winning distance of nearly nine lengths from those runs.

His best win came last time out in Group 3 company when showing a simply outstanding turn of foot to Prix La Force at Parislongchamp and if progressing from that here, he’s going to be extremely hard to beat.

The second horse we’ve picked out is the Jean Claude Rouget trained MAKALOUN.

Four wins from four career starts including victory over this C&D in the Group 3 Prix De Conde Stakes in September, he came unstuck when finishing a hard fought third in the Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud in October.

He hasn’t been since that race and this is his first start as a three year old however he did manage to finish half a length ahead of now Epsom Derby favourite Bolshoi Ballet so he’s an interesting prospect as a three year old this season.
