The first selection from us on Day three comes in the Class 2 Handicap which sees a very competitive field race over just under 1m2f.

The horse that takes the eye is the three year old Patient Dream for the inform Ralph Beckett, who landed a 38/1 double on the first day of the meeting.

This gelding is a versatile character winning on both good and soft this season and only 3lb for his latest win makes him weighted to strike once more.

He has really kicked on this term from his juvenile career, winning on debut at Epsom over 8.5f on good ground and then next time out when stepped up 10f at the same track ran another decent race.

He got back to winning ways last time out at Windsor over 10f on soft ground and with Ray Dawson taking 3lb off on Thursday, he essentially runs off the same mark as he did last time out.

Days: 21

One of our best bets of the day comes in the Group Two Richmond Stakes over six furlongs with the Alan King trained Asymmetric looking tough to beat.

The two year old colt has been a superstar this term, winning impressively over course and distance on debut in June and then backed that up at Newmarket landing a quick-fire double.

Last time out he was seen stepping up into Group Two company back at Newmarket and he finished a head second to the smart Lusail for Richard Hannon.

That form sets the standard in the race and showing versatility in terms of good and soft ground, he is a big player.

Days: 54

One of the toughest races to call across the five days at Glorious Goodwood is the Group Three Gordon Stakes with the event showing off a superb field of middle distance runners.

We have decided to side with Third Realm, although the likes of Wordsoworth, Sir Lucan and Yibir offer quality form, we just believe that Roger Varian's horse might have the most potential to improve.

The three year old has only been seen four times during his career, finishing fifth in a good Novice Stakes at Kempton and then on seasonal debut this term at Nottingham he won a decent Maiden Stakes over 1m2f.

The step up in trip in the Derby Trial brought big improvement out of the horse seeing him score again, this time on soft ground seeing off the Derby and King George winner Adayar.

Third Realm was last seen in the Derby finishing fifth behind the likes if Adayar and Hurricane Lane who have franked the form in a big way.

He has been given a decent break from that race and now dropping back to a Group Three event, handling both good and soft ground, he could be the value in the field if improving once more.

The feature race on the third day of the meeting is the Group One Nassau Stakes over 1m2f and Joan Of Arc for Aidan O'Brien looks to have a huge chance.

The three year old daughter of Galileo was seen once as a juvenile when finishing a close second at Dundalk over 7f, but this season she has turned into a top tier Group One filly.

Starting her campaign off in March she landed a 20 runner Maiden over 7f and then went into the Group Three 1000 Guineas trial at Leopardstown and she was a fair sixth in a big field.

She was given another spin in a trial ahead of the big Irish Classic event and she won nicely over a mile this time at Leopardstown.

Primed for a big run at the Curragh, she was bobbed on the line by stablemate Empress Josephine in heavy ground, settling for second in the Irish 1000 Guineas.

O'Brien last time out stepped her up in trip for the Group One Prix de Diane in France and it saw her best performance of the season when taking the 17 runner event.

She will only improve for that run and handling all different conditions makes her one to be on side with.

Next up is the seven furlong Nursery Handicap and making his handicap debut, Adjuvant for Michael Bell looks to have a huge chance.

The unbeaten son of New Bay has shown bundles of ability on both of his starts to date, making his debut at Chester on good ground and winning narrowly.

He came on a lot for that first experience next time out at Salisbury on good to soft ground, taking a novice event by two lengths.

The form of that race has been franked with the second bolting up a few days ago at Beverley over the same trip.

He makes his handicap debut off a mark of of 85 and it looks a feasible

The penultimate event is the Maiden Fillies' Stakes over seven furlongs and the horse that takes the eye is the Andrew Balding trained Wilderness Girl.

The daughter of No Nay Never was an expensive purchase as a yearling costing £125,000, but off the basis of her debut she looks like she will pay that back and some.

On her first outing she was seen finishing a close fourth of nine behind some very smart horses over seven furlongs at Newmarket.

Balding's juveniles have improved massively for their first runs this term and we are expecting this filly to do the same.

Robert Cowell
Age: 3
Weight: 9-1
OR: 89
Days: 32

The final event of the afternoon is the Class 3 Handicap over five furlongs and the horse that looks a big player at an each way price is Isle Of Lismore.

The three year old for Robert Cowell has had a very bright season to date, finishing third of six on seasonal debut on the all weather and then improving for that run when getting off the mark next time out on heavy ground at Catterick.

He made it back to back wins at Newmarket next time out and then when last seen harbouring a 6lb penalty he was a close up third in a similar event at Windsor.

The gelding runs off the same mark of 89 in this event and handling the softer ground better than most, also taking on rivals from last time out on better wighted terms, he is a big player.
