Haydock Friday Preview - 07/06/19

17:50 - Maroc

The first runner on the second day of Haydock's three day meeting comes in the Class 5 Handicap over 1 mile 2 furlong and we have gone for the Nikki Evans trained Maroc.

This six year old gelding has been mixing between the flat and the hurdles in his career and has some nice form figures recently over both styles of racing.

He is a front running type that on the flat has not finished outside of the top two and now dropped to a very handy mark he can go well form the front.

18:20 - Lola's Theme

The next race of the day is the Class 4 Handicap over 1 mile 2 furlongs and we are siding with the Tom Dascombe trained Lola's Theme to land the spoils.

This three year old filly will like a little bit more rain but finished really strongly at Chester on her seasonal return and if coming on for that is a real challenger in this race.

She has run in much better races than this as a juvenile winning a Class 2 race at York at the back end of last year and if finding that form will be tough to beat.

18:55 - Rasheeq

Rasheeq is our next selection of the day at Haydock in the Class 5 Handicap over six furlongs and with the young Cieren Fallon claiming seven pounds he has a live chance at a nice price.

This Mohamed Moubarak trained six year old was well beaten last time out at Thirsk but a line can be put through that as the time before he scored on soft ground at Nottingham.

This is good form and if finding that type of performance should enter the frame, he is a very pacy individual that is a bigger price than he should be in our eyes.

19:25 - NO BET

20:00 - World Title

Next up we have the seven furlong Class 4 Novices Stakes and out of this bunch of juveniles we have gone for the Archie Watson trained World Title.

This two year old colt is making his debut tomorrow and looks to be a really smart newcomer being out of a half sister to timeless Gordon Lord Byron.

Hollie Doyle gets the leg up and this youngster that was bought for 50,000 Guineas and looks the eye-catcher of the field if taking to conditions nicely.

20:30 - Kylie Rules

The penultimate selection of the day is the Ruth Carr trained Kylie Rules in the Class 4 Handicap over seven furlongs and this filly is seeking a five timer.

She has been superb in all four of her runs this season at Beverley going up in the weights and still managing to consistently land four contests in a row.

Now moving to a new track and going in search of five wins in a row is tough off a big mark but she is constantly improving and it will be very tough to back against her.

21:00 - Dubois Affair

The final race of the day is the Class 3 Novice Stakes and this middle distance contest looks full of smart runners and we have gone with the Sir Michael Stoute trained Dubious Affair.

Sir Michael Stoute is a trainer bang in form at the moment and this three year old filly looks like a really smart improver finishing a solid fifth on debut at Lingfield showing plenty of ability.

Stoute's horses normally need the run and with the way this filly shaped it looked as if she would massively come on for that run and is one to keep an eye on.
