The Group Three Dubai Interntional Airport World Trophy Stakes gets the ball rolling at Newbury at the weekend and in the five furlong event we like the look of Wise Words.

The James Tate trained filly has only been seen once this season having had a year off the track and returning at Doncaster in the Listed Scarbrough Stakes and running a nice race.

She finished a close up fourth of eight but having been off the track for a year it looks a much better run and she should come on for that on her second start here.

Addeybb is the standout runner of the day in the Listed Doonside Cup Stakes and this event should be a formality with his targets set for Group Ones in the future.

The six year old had a break after his second at Ascot last October and then went over to Australia for the first time in his career and at the back end of March became a black type winner for the first time when taking the Ranvet Stakes on his first start down under.

The big target whilst Addeybb was over there was to race in the Group One Queen Elizabeth Stakes and on April 11th, with the rain bringing his favoured soft ground, he went on to take the contest with ease.

Since coming back over to the UK, he made his seasonal debut in the Group One Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot and he finished a decent second to the stand alone winner Lord North.

Dropping down to a Listed event he should be odds against and looks he value runner of the day.

The first handicap of the day sees a smart field of runners heading to post and Starcat for Hughie Morrison is a horse we have stuck by all season and he is getting his last chance in this race.

The three year colt has ran to a decent level so far despite finishing last in the 2000 Guineas and finishing near the back of the field in the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Two starts ago he showed signs of big ability when 5th of 11 in a handicap at Glorious Goodwood and having backed that up in a good handicap at Doncaster finishing fourth, his progressive nature should see him go well again.

He is still on a feasible mark and should be respected in this field.

The Ayr Silver Cup over six furlongs sees a large field of speedy horses head to post and with that in mind we have two selections at each way prices.

Plenty of bookmakers will be offering extra places on this race and the first horse that can take advantage of that at a double figure price is Brian The Snail.

The Richard Fahey trained gelding has been fairly consistent in these types of events this season with his best performance coming at Glorious Goodwood when third in the 22 runner Goodwood Cup.

He will need to be better than his last few runs but holds plenty of potential, especially being only 1lb higher than that third at Goodwood.

At an even bigger price the frustrating Show Me Show Me also for Richard Fahey is due a big run in a big fielded event like this.

The three year old has been around forever it seems but when he turns up he is very hard to catch and after his third at Goodwood last time out he has to be respected going back in the right direction.

He is 1lb lower for his latest run which will be sure to help and if not running his race in the stalls he is a live each way player.

The Legacy Cup Stakes over 1 mile 3 furlongs only sees four head to post and on form alone the favourite Extra Elusive should not be beat.

The Roger Charlton trained five year old has been superb this term, finishing second three starts ago in a Listed race at Newbury behind a nice type for John Gosden and then since backing that up with two consecutive wins.

The gelding went to Haydock and in a gritty performance landed the Group Three Rose Of Lancaster Stakes and after that stepped up again to see off Fox Chairman to take the Group Three Winter Hill Stakes at Windsor.

He seems to have found his level in these sorts of races and if running to form will be very tough to beat.

The Group Three Scotty Brand Firth Of Clyde Fillies' Stakes over six furlong sees the juveniles battle it out and we can't look any further than the favourite Umm Kulthum.

The filly has been superb since starting her life on a racecourse, getting off the mark on her debut at Thirsk and then backing that up in the Group Two Lowther Stakes last time out.

That run at York's Ebor meetng has since been franked with second that day since going on to finish second again in a photo-finish in another Group Two event.

He drops in grade for this event and it would be a surprise if he did not run another consistent race.

The feature race of the day at Newbury is the Group Two Mill Reef Stakes that has been won in the past by some smart juveniles and Bahrain Pride for Simon and Ed Crisford can add to that list.

The son of Kodiac was a very expensive purchase as a foal and a yearling costing 425,000 gns all together and he has proved his worth to date by being unbeaten in both his starts.

The juvenile went to Windsor on his debut and in soft conditions saw off Fivethousandtoone for King Power Racing who has since franked the form.

He went to Ripon again on soft ground and landed a decent Listed race over six furlongs and with him progressing with every run, he has to be respected.

The final event on ITV Racing on Saturday is the feature contests at the Scottish track with the big fielded Ayr Gold Cup and again we have two solid selections.

Our first is the King Power Racing owned Stone Of Destiny who broke his long run without a win last time out at Doncaster 's St leger meeting when taking the Portland Handicap.

That was over 5.5 furlongs but he was still travelling at the line to suggest he will handle the six furlongs here and before that win he was second in a decent handicap at Sandown.

Solid form line.

The final runner at a bigger price is the David O'Meara trained Gulliver who usually loves these big fielded events, but he will have to find his best form after some less than impressive runs.

However, the six year old is very capable of a big showing if getting back to the form at the start of the summer when placing in the Wokingham Stakes at Royal Ascot and also finishing second in a photo finish in the Scurry Handicap at The Curragh.

On his last few outings he has not shown his best credentials, but has dropped back down in the handicap to a mark and having been third in this race last year he must be respected.
