Eastern World disappointed on return after making a pleasing debut on the all-weather last season, but the form of his defeat hasn't worked out too bad and you could argue that he also needed the run.

His most recent start was much more like it. He made all to defeat a Group1 entered Haggas horse and the third has come out and boosted the form.

Alabama Whitman represents last year's winning yard and at a big e/w price she looks good value.

This filly has mixed it at group level and she returned with a smooth-travelling effort at Ascot before fading in the closing stages. It is likely she needed the run and she also drops back a furlong here.

Carlos Felix is a very expensive purhcase (700k) and some of his form from last season suggests he is well handicapped off a mark of 78.

He has always shaped as though a step up in trip would suit and he now moves up to 1m4f from the mile he tried on seasonal debut at Doncaster.

This small field has the potential to get tactical, but we are hoping Summit Reach sets the pace and Luke Morris sits in before picking it up late in the day.

Hudson River is an exceptionally bred colt (by Galileo, out of Meccas Angel) and his debut suggests he could be another smart one for Ballydoyle.

He showed a good attitude to make all under Seamie Heffernan at the Curragh and Ryan Moore now takes over in a race the yard have won three times.

Mohaather and Skardu finished next to each other in the Queen Anne, but granted a clear passage you have to feel as though Mohaather would have been comfortably ahead and for that reason he looks the bet at 5/2.

This colt has some strong form to his name and can gain compensation for his luckless Ascot here.

Golden Horde will be popular here, but the form of this year's Commonwealth Cup is questionable and Richard Hannon's Threat shaped like this drop in trip would suit when travelling sweetly in the red-hot St. James's Palace.

This colt has gone close with the favourite previously and is 9/1 compared to 2/1.

Mutaamaasik came out best of the horses that raced in the centre in the Buckingham at Ascot and a 5lb swing in the weights with the favourite may prove enough to reverse that form.

Motakhayyel had the advantage of a draw bias that day and they are starting in a similar position this time around.
