Betfred Silver Bowl Handicap 1.15 - Apiarist
Took four attempts to get off the mark last season as a juvenile but finally came good when slogging through the mud at York to win the British EBF £100,000 Final.
Returned as a 3 year old in what looked a hot enough conditions race at Newmarket where he failed to get involved from the rear on quick ground. However that outing should have sharpened him up and now dipping his toe into handicap company a rating of 88 looks lenient enough.
William Hill Harroways Handicap 1.30 - Kingdom Of Riches
Went close in a decent maiden on debut last season before getting off the mark at the second time of asking in a novice event at Leicester.
Failed to land a blow on his last two outings of the season, but he shaped with some promise on seasonal comeback recently to be 3rd in a similar event over course and distance on soft ground behind Mission To Moon.
Betfred Temple Stakes 1.50 - Vadream
A good sprinting mare at this kind of level, Vadream was unlucky not to have won back to back renewals of the Palace House stakes when last seen three weeks ago, just being beaten a head by the rallying Seven Questions.
She tends to be at her best on ground on the softer side of good so the fact she ran so well last time out on ground ground is a decent indicator she’s going to go well again now encountering soft conditions.
William Hill Height Of Fashion Stakes 2.05 - Regal Jubilee
Looked an above average filly last season when winning a novice and a listed event. Was put away for the winter of the back of that success and returned with a fine effort to be a narrow 2nd in the Fred Darling Stakes.
Failed to build upon that in the 1000 Guineas where she got squeezed for room at a vital time and looked a bit outpaced on quick ground over a mile.
Betfred Supports Jack Berry House Sandy Lane Stakes 2.25 - Purosangue
Although Vandeek heads the betting at a short price, it’s hard to get involved with him at odds on for his seasonal comeback, a smart looking alternative is mudlark Purosangue.
Narrowly denied in a Group Three at Goodwood by Big Evs last season, he got his head in front finally in a listed race at York on his final outing of the campaign in fine style on soft ground.
William Hill Extra Place Races Daily Handicap 2.45 - Manila Scouse
Scored a brace of handicaps last season after running well in a similar event to this over course and distance to be a narrow 2nd place.
Returned off a lay off on soft ground to be a close 2nd at Wetherby before being beaten twice recently with muddling poor midfield efforts. Is lining up again off only a 10 days break but has gone well at this venue a few times and might just find it sparks him back into life.
Betfred Hattrick Heaven New Boston Handicap 3.00 - Sterling Knight
A decent hold up performer who’s proven effective on both synthetic surfaces and turf.
Shaped well on seasonal comeback to be 3rd in a similar event over 6 furlongs at Doncaster on soft ground, making up ground late but running out of time to collar the front two after weaving between beaten horses.
William Hill Bronte Cup Fillies' Stakes 3.20 - River Of Stars
Won this race on her reappearance last year, getting the better of the talented Mimikyu narrowly.
Shaped well enough subsequently in Group Two events through the season despite not managing to get her head back in front. A return here off the back of a lay off might just be what she needs to get herself back in front.
Betfred Nifty 50 Hell Nook Handicap 3.30 - Yorkindness
A good stayer last season who graduated into higher events towards the end of the campaign to finish a respectable 4th in the at Chester at the end of the season.
Returned for her first run of the season when again filling the 4th spot in the Chester Plate, finishing 3 lengths behind Law Of The Sea, shaping like she might have been in need of the run.
Tattersalls Irish 2,000 Guineas 3.40 - Rosallion
Was unfortunate not to win the English 2000 Guineas three weeks ago, travelling well into the race but not finding as much as Notable Speech out of the dip.
Looks for his Classic compensation at the Curragh and with the run under his belt in the Guineas he’ll likely shape better here and see out his race.
