The first ITV race of the day is the Sir Henry Cecil Stakes which is a listed event featuring eight runners.

This race has thrown up some big price winners the previous couple of years but we believe Lord Campari is a justified favourite off the back of his well-backed demolition job at Newbury.

Roger Varian's Kingman Colt raced just once as a 2-y-o finishing midfield in a strong event won by Palace Pier but he looked a totally different proposition when hammering John Gosden's Tsar on 3-y-o/seasonal debut.

That rival gave the form a nice boost at Yarmouth on Saturday and the stables' horses have been stepping forward for their first run this year.

We are advising no bet in the second race so next up is the Bahrain Trophy Stakes.

Aidan O'Brien's Dawn Rising heads the betting in this after his 12l victory at Limerick a few days ago, but he is unlikely to be gifted such a lead in this race and the forecasted rainfall suggests he could also face a completely different surface.

We are against him with Al Aasy, who finally lived up to his lofty reputation when hammering an expensive Charlie Appleby Galileo colt by 10 lengths at this track last month.

He travelled up like a good horse that day and proved he handles, if not improves for softer conditions.

This filly should relish the extra yardage therefore her hard-fought victories over 7f and 1m point to her being another classy one for John Gosden and Khalid Abdullah.

She is by Camelot, out of a half-sister to Kingman so she is bred to mix it at this level and we believe she will be good enough to cope with Pocket Square, who is the one to beat on ratings.

Roger Charlton's Night Of Thunder filly proved her stamina when landing a listed in France on heavy ground towards the end of last season and has to be feared.

Qaader and Tactical are likely to prove popular after two big runs at Royal Ascot, but it didn't look a vintage renewal of the Coventry and Andrew Balding's horse had the advantage of a huge draw bias when landing the Windsor Castle from the plum draw.

For the above reasons, we are looking to oppose the favourites with Swiss Ace, who looked like an above-average colt when winning on debut at Tipperary.

This Kingman colt got the better of a well-backed Joseph O'Brien horse with experience and his best work came in the final stages so the step up to 6f is bound to suit.

Ryan Moore rides.

There isn't much of a price about Highest Ground but this Frankel colt couldn't have been more impressive in his two career starts.

He had no right to win on debut at Leicester after completely missing the break, and he backed that effort up by getting the better of the 101-rated Waldkonig who also had the fitness advantage in his favour.

He wasn't the strongest traveller of the pair but he always looked the winner once he came upsides his rival, showing a good attitude to assert in the final furlong.

Oisin Murphy, who is seeking a Dante Hat-Trick after success aboard Telecaster and Roaring Lion, has been booked to ride.

It is a typically competitive renewal of the Heritage Handicap but with 5 places on offer it is hard to see Dancin Inthestreet finishing outside of the money.

This filly has been unlucky in-running on both starts this season and for that reason remains really well-handicapped off 85. She will definitely be a 90+ filly by the end of the season and Cieren Fallon shaves off 3lb, meaning she is running off bottom-weight.

Double figure draws have won 7 of the last 10.
