Longchamp Saturday Preview - 06/10/2018

1:00

Brundtland 8/13

The first Group race of an extraordinary weekend of racing at Paris Longchamp is one of the longest - the Qatar Prix Chaudenay, a Group 2 over 1 mile and 7 furlongs.

Andre Fabre holds a strong hand here for the hosts, but Charlie Appleby sends over BRUNDTLAND who is currently unbeaten on three starts.

He made all in the Group 2 Prix Niel on his latest start, which boasts clearly the strongest form. Should continue his fine progress up in trip.

3:30

Loxley 11/4

The Qatar Prix Dollar is ran just shy of ten furlongs and LOXLEY, who ran no sort of race in the St Leger last time out is dropped to rapidly in distance, which should see him back to his best.

His two prior starts to the Doncaster disappointment were both 2 lengths successes at Deauville, and he should be back in the frame here.

4:05

Addeybb 7/2

ADDEYBB has not been seen since disappointing on fast ground in the Lockinge, but is a strong contender on his spring form. He beat Lord Glitters – one the main fancies for this month’s QEII at Ascot, by almost three lengths back in March.

Has not been seen for five months which is a slight worry, but hopefully William Haggas has worked on his properly in his absence.

Wears the yellow colours of Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum, with another yellow coloured jacket worn by Andrea Atzeni on Ostilio (Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum) who has never finished outside the top two and will be a good each-way shout.

4:40

Mille Et Mille 9/1 E/W

The Group 1 Qatar Prix du Cadran is the longest contest of the weekend, ran over 2miles and 4 furlongs, and MILLE ET MILLE can land one for the hosts.

Could be allowed to lead the field as not many of these tend to lead, and there are definitely assurances to the fact he stays the distance.

Has a few lengths to find on the favourite, but that was over much shorter. Cristian Demuro rides.

5:10

Palombe 2/1

PALOMBE can take the final race on Saturday for Andre Fabre in this Qatar Prix de Royallieu. This 4yo daughter of Nathaniel has had a quiet year.

She beat God Given in the Darley Prix de Pomone in August, who has since franked the form in the Park Hill at Donny. Good chance.
