Just seven line up for the opening contest in Paris on Sunday with Charlie Appleby’s New Science being our selection.
This son of Lope De Vega was an impressive winner on debut at Yarmouth where he beat numerous subsequent winners in a comfortable fashion and connections then deemed him to be good enough to contest the Chesham.
Things didn’t go to plan at Ascot with the ground turning up soft but he quickly bounced back when landing the Pat Eddery Stakes on better ground a month later and the second that day subsequently landed the Vintage Stakes at Goodwood.
Overall this colt boasts a solid profile notching up some useful form on good ground and horses from this yard have an excellent strike rate when sent over to France.
