The first race of the day at Tipperary is the Joe Mac Novice Hurdle over two miles and in this Grade Three event we like the look of the Charles Byrnes trained Wajaaha.

The five year old has shown a good attitude over hurdles this term winning at Kilbeggan two starts ago by a wide margin and then backing that up at Listowel next time out.

He finished a narrow second behind the Willie Mullins trained Ngolo, but he managed to just egde out the likeable Malone Road and that looks like superb form.

The next race on the card is another Grade Three event over two miles and it sees the return of the Willie Mullins trained Saint Roi.

This five year old for JP McManus signed off last season with two smart wins which sees him seeking a hat-trick today and if going well fresh should be in the frame.

Having won at Tramore in a maiden hurdle he headed to Cheltenham for Grade Three County Hurdle and was a superb winner under a great ride from Barry Geraghty.

That looks the strongest form over hurdles heading into the event.

The final selection from us comes in another Grade Three event which sees a strong field go to post for the Novice Chase.

Galvin for trainer Gordon Elliott is a very progressive chaser who has won both his outings this season over fences by a joint 14 lengths.

He showed the season before he was a force to be reckoned with when finishing a good second behind Imperial Aura in a Handicap Chase at the Cheltenham festival and in this field he demands serious respect.
